The Avaya Equinox® Client requires the 46xxsettings.txt file in an Avaya IP Office deployment to read the SIP values from the file in order to connect to the Avaya IP Office system. These SIP values can include the IP address of the Avaya IP Office system, the SIP port number, and the SIP user name. The Client does not use conference settings contained in the file to connect, nor does it write any SIP values into the file or log connections in the file.

A customer with an Avaya IP Office using digital telephones should consider increasing the number of trunks if they are using their outbound digital lines at 95% capacity. Increasing the number of trunks will allow the customer to make more outbound calls without exceeding the 95% capacity limit. Additionally, increasing the number of users, VCM channels, and hunt groups may also help to increase capacity, but the number of trunks is usually the most effective way of increasing capacity.

To view and manage any of the servers in an Avaya IP Office Server Edition network [1][2], the two applications that are applicable to manage any IP Office Server are the Server Edition Manager and the System Monitor. The Web Management landing page and the System Status Application are not applicable to manage any IP Office Server.
